After awarding the two first solar thermal power plants in South Africa, Abengoa has strengthened the promotion of its brand in this market. On February, 7 and 8, Abengoa attended the first CSP Today South Africa summit, which took place in Johannesburg.
A team from Abengoa attended the event and took advantage to do networking and establish contacts with other strategic companies. In addition, Pablo Infante Cossio, commercial director, gave a conference to show the capacity of Abengoa to take on great challenges. His speech focused on the solar field that the company is developing in Agua Prieta II (Mexico), which will be integrated into the first hybrid solar-gas plant of the country.
CSP Today South Africa assembled a hundred of attendees and 35 speakers. It became a meeting point for the leading companies of the solar thermal market, which met with the aim of promoting new projects in the country. They discussed about the special features of this geographical area, its advantages and challenges, as well as solutions to deal with them.
